Please join us on June 14 th from 2 until 6 for the third annual BPNA Chili Cookoff. This year we are opening up the competition to Berkeley Park Residents along with Non-Resident “Friends” of Berkeley Park. This year we will have prizes for 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd places. As is tradition there is no entry fee to be a contestant you just have to supply your chili and any accompaniments you may choose. We will supply spoons, napkins and small tasting cups. There will 8-foot tables that we will supply for 2 contestants per table. Please email me directly if you would like to be a contestant or know of someone who would like to be. We will have limited tables so contestants need to sign up on a first come first serve basis.

As in the past we will offer some adult beverages but it is a recommended BYOB event. We will have water and soft drinks for the children. The attendance fee will be $15 per person and high school children and younger are free. The funds raised this year will go to the BPNA Crime Prevention Fund to try to help mitigate the increase in break-ins we have been experiencing.

This year we are smoking a whole pig and whole chickens on Saturday night and will have a grill for hamburgers and hotdogs along with traditional BBQ fair. We will have children's activities for the day along with our rockin' band line up.

If anyone would like to volunteer for the event please email me also. We will need volunteers for the pig roast night (2 hour shifts), set up, registration, children's activities, grilling burgers and dogs, chili judges and clean up. We are looking forward to another successful event.
