We had perfect weather taking 10 Seniors to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens on Wednesday, April 29, 2009. I learned some Seniors had never been before and this was their first time. Afterwards, we had a very nice complimentary lunch at JoliKobe in Midtown. (www.jolikobe.com) .
A special thank you to Wanda Steele and Terry Horgan for volunteering to help me and The Senior Citizen Center for providing the transportation and driver to the Garden.
On May 17, we did it again! 22 gourmet dinners prepared by loving hands and delivered to the homes of our Seniors. Ron Horgan cooked for the Underwood Hills Social and then cooked for 22 Seniors this past Sunday. This man deserves an award! Thank you, Ron!
Along with the dinner was a beautiful rose in a vase donated from Florist Atlanta and the card read, "We appreciate you! From all your neighbors." Thank you, Florist Atlanta!
Kroger/Howell Mill donated ALL the groceries. What a generous donation from the new Manager, Marc Wood. Thank you Marc!
Thank you, Jeffrey Smythe & Roberta of the Senior Citizen Center for letting us use your kitchen!
